#24 Allison Dore: Howl & Roar Records

Allison Dore is the Founder & CEO of Howl & Roar Records, and the Host of SiriusXM's 'The Breakdown' on Canada Talks. I’m lucky enough to call her both a friend and colleague. It’s crazy that I haven’t seen her since March 2020 peeping over the desk wall we shared in the SiriusXM Toronto office…

Where do I start with this amazing human? Allison Dore is the FOUNDER and CEO of Howl & Roar Records; a female-centric comedy record label that empowers artists and facilitates the creation of content. Understanding the difficulties artists face with distribution and navigating ‍‍‍the many paths content can take, Howl & Roar Records strives to be a trusted resource for artists.‍‍‍ Based in Toronto, Howl & Roar Records was born out of a desire to make the comedy album world more reflective of the diversity in the industry.

Allison is also the host of The Breakdown, a three-hour daily entertainment-based talk show on SiriusXM channel 167, Canada Talks; this is how we met. She's also a former comedian. Because she can’t get enough of interviewing people and sharing their stories, she also hosts and produces a podcast called "Digging In", which features one on one conversations about life philosophies, overcoming personal struggles, and how guests think about life. While it's on hiatus for the time being, it'll be back! As a speaker, Allison shares her story of battling mental illness and addiction in order to bring hope to those who are currently struggling.
